Today is the third anniversary of Lola’s Blog Tours!
First off a big thank you to all the authors who worked with me or helped spread the word about my business, I really appreciate it! Thank you to all the bloggers, reviewers and readers who participated in one of my tours or review opportunities, I wouldn’t be able to do this without you!
And a big thanks to my awesome banner designer Michelle from Limabean Design! The idea of making my own graphics scares the hell out of me, I am so glad to have found you and that you agreed to be my banner designer. I love the banners you design for my tours and you are an awesome friend as well.
To celebrate Lola’s Blog Tours third anniversary I decided to do some giveaways. There are 3 separate giveaways. There is a giveaway for readers to win one of the two books I am giving away from the bookdepository (winners choice). And I have two authors only giveaways going on. One for a review opportunity organized by Lola’s Blog Tours and one for a teaser image or sales graphic designed by Limabean Designs. You can scroll down to see the giveaways.
What happened this year
Compared to other years this has been a year with very little big changes. I found my direction with this business and mostly continued with that. I decided to make my cover reveals free last year and for now I have decided to keep them that way. I organized more tours and review opportunities. Mostly I added some small things here and there, changes a few things in my policies and how I handle things, but mostly minor things.
The biggest change in this last year is that got a new banner designer, Limabean Designs. And I am really happy with the change. Michelle knows the blogging community as she’s a blogger as well and I really enjoy working with her.
Another change this year is that last month I switched to mailerlite for my tour e-mails and so far I am really happy I made that change. I also set-up a newsletter for authors, I will send out an e-mail about once a month with tips, information, sales/ discounts about my services and other information that might be handy for authors. You can sign-up for my newsletter for authors here.
And on my blog Lola’s Reviews I started doing a series of posts aimed at authors, called Lola’s Advice since January this year. You can see the whole list of Lola’s Advice posts so far here.
Stats
I always like looking back each year to see how much events I have organized so far. So I included some stats below. These are the total amount of tours I’ve organized in the past three years.
- Blog Tours: 42 blog tours organized
- Book Blitzes: 43 book blitzes organized
- Cover Reveals: 39 cover reveals organized
- Review Opportunities: 41 review opportunities organized (31 of those are still open for sign-up).
Book Giveaway
